The Manufacturing methods and the facilities utilized by Kearflex Engineering include the latest technological advances in the science and art of producing pressure sensing diaphragm assemblies.

This operation is directed by personnel having diaphragm design and manufacturing experience dating from 1951.

These factors result in consistent, reliable, high quality diaphragm assemblies delivered on time at reasonable cost.

MATERIALS: Selection of materials is predicated on the customers specific application and operating environment.  The following materials are used in the production of our capsules:

TANTALUM MONEL
Ni Span C (ALLOY 902) BECU
316-L SS 17-7 PH
HASTELLOY INCONEL

FITTINGS: Threaded studs, buttons, posts or other hardware to specification is available.  Depending on the application and available space, the parts will be joined to the diaphragm by either resistance weld or torch brazing with silver solder.  For review of the typical attachments see FITTINGS.

WELDING: Capsule seams or diaphragm to base assemblies are joined using electronic beam welding.  Engineering assistance for product integration and weld preparation design is available.

CAPABILITIES:  For nearly forty years Kearflex has produced metal pressure sensing elements for all types of differential pressure measurements.  Custom program plans are available with schedules tailored to meet quality, testing and traceability requirements.

QUALITY SYSTEMS:  ISO 9001 since 1996.  Military programs concurrent under MIL-STD-45208 and MIL-STD-45662

ENGINEERING:  Product integration, design aid and special application assistance is available.
